Question Tags

Question Tags คือ ประโยคคำถาม เพื่อย้ำ,หรือเพื่อขอความเห็น ฯ

ตัวอย่างเช่น
You're the new secretry, aren't you?
Yon don't like fish, don't you?
He can swim, can't he?
You haven't met my wife, have you?

tag คือส่วนท้ายของประโยค ประกอบด้วย
1.กริยาช่วย
2.สรรพนาม
3.ถ้าประโยคแรกเป็นประโยคคำถาม ประโยคหลังจะเป็นประโยคปฏิเสธ
4.ถ้าประโยคแรกเป็นประโยคปฎิเสธหรือ มีความหมายปฎิเสธ ประโยคหลังจะเป็นประโยคบอกเล่า
5.รูปปฏิเสธใน tag จะเป็นรูปย่อเสมอ
6.am not = arn't = I'm late,aren't I"
7.Let's = shall we = Let's go now,shall we?
8. everyone, no body, neither, anyone ,anybody,none, etc = they = Neither of them complained, did they?
9.There can use as a subject in question tag like; There's something wrong, isn't there?
10.Negative word use it and they for nobody like: Nothing can stop us now, can it? or
Nobody phoned while I was out, did they?
11.Negative verbs in tags are usaully contracted.
12.Negative words like hardly,never, rarely in the tags must use auxsiliary verb affirmative not negative e.g.
We rarely go to swim, don't we? She never goes to London,does she?
13. 's = is or has, 'd = had or would.
